"It is estimated that worldwide about one in 160 children has an ASD. This estimate represents an average figure, and reported prevalence varies substantially across studies. Some well-controlled studies have, however, reported figures that are substantially higher. The prevalence of ASD in many low- and middle-income countries is unknown." Autism Society quotes CDC, "About 1 percent of the world population has autism spectrum disorder. (CDC, 2014)" With a worldwide population of 7.5 Billion, that means 75 Million ASD diagnosed adults.
