Did you know that your sweet little and pure baby can only get hepatitis by using IV drugs or through sexual contact?? What is the point of insulting her undeveloped and fragile immune system NOW when she does not fit into either catagory?? Did you know that there has been no wild polio in this country in over 30 years. There has only been polio in this country caused by the oral vaccine. It sheds in the stool for a month. Did you know that your sweet and pure baby is vaccinated for measles to protect unvaccinated pregnant women--not to protect her. Did you know that mumps and measles are considered normal childhood diseases?? Did you know that there has not been diptheria in this country in over 50 years?? that tetanus is not a contagious disease but one that you could get from a deep wound that would first need to be contaminated w/ tet. and then never cleaed. Do you think most 2 month olds are at risk of a severe deep cut that no one will clean? did you know that pertussis is another normal childhood disease that most children will do just fine with when treatd with antibiotics and I will add will have lifelong immunity to which is NOT what you get with vaccines. Did you know that again varicella is a normal childhood disease? That this vacc. was developed as a convenience vaccine for working parents. I worry very much for all the future college students that will contract chix pox as teens and young adults when their vaccine wears off. That is when you will see children die from this one . Have you stopped to look at the fact that the vacc. scedule is one size fits all. It should be talored to each person and their individual situation. Have you stopped tp think about the fact that a 2 month old, 15 pound baby gets the same dose and amount that a 12 yr. old 100 pound child. One last thing to sleep on: by the time your sweet little one reaches 2yrs. she will rceive anywhere from 28 to 36 vaccines!! Does that # blow you away and make you ask "is this all necesary?". By the way I am a Ivy league schooled Pediatric Nurse Practioner and I have seen alot and know what I'm talking about!! reaserch the other side-- do not always beleive everything about how great vaccines are. I have seen them mame and kill children. I also know of many other health care practitioners and MDs who think like I do and many hold off on at least the # they give to their own kids. City: Smithville | Message: Everyone, Not everyone has exemptions that are useful. I read the AMA is trying to remove the philo and religious exemptions. I plead with you, protect your exemptions and keep up. We had a religious exemption before 1979 and was removed based on one court case. It happened here and could happen everywhere else if the people do not raise hell about it. The question you should ask yourself is do you want to be like Mississippi and West Virginia? Think long and hard on this. It is very hard to obtain a medical exemption here and that can be overrode by someone in a government office that is not your childs physican, perhaps not even a doctor.The medical exemption here is very stiff compared to other states yet they are all hard to obtain. The children here need help to get exemptions obtained. Better yet, lets remove all mandates because they are against the constitution. I know that if they were to try to remove exemption in other states and were successfull, it would help us here because people would raise hell and then likely get mandates removed. I still do not want this for the other 48 states even though it will help two states. Even New Yorks laws are better than ours and theirs is tougher than most. Most people against mandates would highly oppose NY exemption laws. Right now, I would consider laws like NY exemptions a dream come true. April |

B. shot, why would you continue to have your child vaccinated? Do yourself a favor and "don't believe the hype." The information your are referring to, is all distorted with lies and darkness. Sure, you could look at the whole fate issue in terms of conditions like autism and ADD, however, I am willing to bet that there are fewer, if any, kids without shots, who are burdened with the above conditions. I do vaccinate my child as she was a premie and I don't want her to end up getting seriously sick. However after her 6 month shots she did get an EXTREMELY rare condition that is only known to be associated with Hep B in Eurpoe so I think it was connected but she is fine now. I will continue to vaccinate as the risk vs benefits are astounding and the research shows that a VERY low percentage of children have any side effects. Could it be that these kids were just meant to be Autistic, have ADD or other ailments? I am willing to bet that even if they weren't vaccinated they would have these problems. I have ADD and I don't blame and have never blamed vaccinations and never will. Protecting my child is number one in my book. Just the quantity of commercials in tv and print prove beyond a doubt that pharmaceutical companies make huge dollars on us! I consider myself an intelligent free-thinker (Idaho style (: ) NOT!!! We just had our first grandson, and our son, age 32, is a Doctor of Chiropractic. He and his wife refused to have their newborn vaccinated in the California hospital.. That's another interesting story. I have purchased 5 more books and sent them to relatives. I am ashamed at myself for being so uninformed. Message: As far as the newborn screening blood tests... We taught the nurse at the time how to extract the blood with less pain. In other words, we showed the nurse that by picking the baby up and allowing the baby's legs to hang down that this would enable the blood to flow downwards with the help of gravity so that the blood extraction would be less painful and quicker. The nurse told us that she would now continue to do the tests in this fashion in an effort not to make the babies cry. Up until that point in time, the nurse said that she hated doing those blood tests because the blood never came out fast enough and as a result, the babies would cry. On another note... those tests have their own set of controversy. I never went that far into discovering what the facts were but I do remember reading some alternative materials on that subject. |

The religious right is concerned that if a nine year old is given this shot then she might be encouraged to go out and have sex. Why not just promote condom use in terms of prevention? The answer: Condom sale profits won't come close to the money that the vaccine company will make off of this new vaccine. I think this is the icing on the cake in terms of a national vaccine campaign. The Goverment is so anti-drug use (i.e. DARE Program) however, they are more than willing to inject our kids with materials far worse than heroine or cocaine. For example: Whooping Cough (kids very sick, coughing alot, fever, BUT NO HOSPITALIZATION)- same thing- caught the illness from an older relative, who had had the shot. The Chinese call Pertusis i.e. Whooping Cough the 40 day cough...It's supposed to last a long time. Measles (fever and other flu-like symptoms BUT NO HOSPITALIZATION). The kids survived and now they are naturally immunized against the disease! On the other hand, I keep noticing kids who have had the Varicella vaccine (i.e. chicken pox) and they are still catching the chicken pox. So, that shot does not seem to work. |

They have had mumps and whooping cough this year....what's funny is they didn't catch whooping cough from any local kids....they caught it from our American coworker who is in her 50's! Let me tell you it sounds a lot milder to get it when you are young! Now my husband also has it at age 31 so vaccines do wear off if they are ever truly effective, and kids usually have milder diseases. No complications as they were healthy from having strong, natural immune systems. For those parents who are undecided....these illnesses are not very scary. Whooping cough lasts forever, about 6 weeks but the kids play like normal and cough at night making strange noises and cough up a lot of phlegm. Mumps is shorter and more like a flu. Their cheeks looked like they were stuffed with nuts. Great for photos to show them when they are well agin. The only worry with this was possible dehydration like with a flu. For two days, just fluids, their throats were too sore to eat much else. Anyway, maybe next year we can get measles and chickenpox and be done with the childhood stuff. Polio, tetunus, and diptheria and very, very rare even in this part of the world but especially in the States. |

I have been using a religious one for my 9 year old son since kindergarden. I know some states do not have a philosophical exemption which is bad enough...but now they want to interfere with the religious practices and beliefs of individuals? The diseases are real (despite the statement by one of the guestbook authors that they are invented by drug companies- if only!) and kill thousands of children each year in the developing world. Unfortunately, vaccines are only effective 95% of the time and some children cannot receive them for medical reasons. These children are protected by others receiving functioning vaccines and it is these children who are endangered by parents with-holding the vaccine. I truly hope there are no negative consequences for your children or to others' from your denying them this basic life saving procedure. But he's probably so smart that he wouldn't be able to see that was the cause like the stupid doctors who killed her with them. 'Poorly informed' he says, obviously he has never listened to any parents who don't vaccinate or he'd know they do alot more research than those who do get their children vaccinated. And There are plenty of UNVACCINATED PARENTS not vaccinating their children now too. Yes, antibiotics are being protested by educated parents too! |
