McCarthy's 6-year-old son, Evan, has autism. The couple believes Evan's symptoms were caused by toxins in childhood immunizations. They are calling for the immunization schedule to be changed. The major health organizations disagree, stating more than a dozen studies showing no link between vaccinations and autism. They gathered in solidarity under the leadership of outspoken celebrity and autism parent Jenny McCarthy & her partner Jim Carrey to demand “safer” vaccines, and a less aggressive vaccine schedule.
